In the United States, millions of low-income individuals face civil legal issues without adequate representation, risking their homes, jobs, and safety. This post explores the urgent need for a civil right to counsel, ensuring equal access to justice for all, regardless of financial means.

In a world that prides itself on innovation, creativity, and progress, it is disheartening to see the erosion of hard-won rights and the silencing of women's voices.

By protecting the health of the communities I represent, I am preserving their basic human right to live healthier, dignified lives.

The biggest question now is, how do we close the achievement gap? The answer is within the efforts we choose to put forth as a community that would like to see the upcoming generation be equipped with the academic resources they need.

While there were some challenges, within a short time, we established contacts in over six countries, began initiatives for two organizations, and established a department of exactly 10 women.
